Ministry of MSME Govt.of India have introduced SFURTI (Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries) programme   all over India to generate employment in rural areas.The main object of scheme is to provide employment to rural artisans and train up the ruaral citizens to have engaged in to improve their economic conditions with the help of SFURTI programme.In view of the regenerating the Traditional Industries and eradicating the unemployment problem,the Govt.of India started the Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of  Traditional Industries (SFURTI).Khadi and V.I.is one of the Traditional Industries,hence the Govt. of India have taken up this programme ad chosen efficient institutions of khadi by which the protection of Traditional ndustries and can be regenerated.

Karnataka Khadi Gramodhyoga Samyukta Sangh(Fed.) Bengeri Hubli has been chosen by the KVIC to   implement the above programme.The scheme in question has been intriduced by federation in its khadi productio enter at Belur which has now beng titled as Belur Khadi Cluster.The total fund provided by Govt. of  India throu KVIC on the basis of action plan submitted by Implementing agency

After accepting  the cluster development programme thr I.A. has purchaged 4 units 8 spindle charkhas and 10 no's of semi automatic  spindle looms.
